Locally Managed HPBX Wins New Customers

Back to Insights

One way to win business voice service is with quick responses to customer needs and speedy resolution to any support issues, FiberComm out of Sioux City Iowa has been doing that for many years with their HBPX business.

According to Switch Technician and VoIP Specialist Kevin Wiederin, FiberComm is winning new business customers who were unsatisfied with the voice service they received from national and in some cases, international VoIP companies.

FiberComm has carved a nice niche in the Sioux City market serving small businesses with HPBX up to twelve seats with some larger accounts in their portfolio as well. Wiederin says the Innovative Systems SIP ACS platform has performed very well for them. The ability to manage their customer’s phones in-house is an advantage over competitors that may be supporting hundreds of thousands of phones. Wiederin comments that new FiberComm business voice customers can be provisioned quicker and any support can be done in a timely matter. The big selling point for local VoIP providers is that they are only managing the customers they serve in their markets when national companies support customers across the world in multiple time zones

From a technical standpoint, Wiederin says the main benefit of Innovative’s SIP ACS for FiberComm is the ease of programming the phone BLF keys off one template. Fibercomm has had success with the Yealink SIP devices including their DECT phones and cordless conference phones.
